The Board of DiGRA Central and Eastern Europe expresses solidarity with Ukraine, which was invaded by the Russian Federation in 2014 and on a far greater scale in 2022. We condemn both these invasions and the help they received from the Republic of Belarus.
We would like to support the game scholars affected by these invasions and their implications. At this moment, we can offer support in the form of information and contacts. The scholars in question are welcome to write to us at CEEGS, to the Ukrainian Game Studies Association, or to Mark Maletska.
We would also like to mention the call for papers for the “Ukrainian Games of War” special issue of the journal “European Historical Game Studies”. The submission deadline is 31 July 2024.
